Scott’s work focuses on documenting rare and endangered marine life, including critically endangered smalltooth sawfish, Great Hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manatees, and spotted eagle rays. His photography is driven by a deep passion for conservation and a commitment to raising awareness about the protection of these incredible animals.

About Scott Butler

 

Scott Butler is the founder and creator of Scott Butler Photography LLC. Known as SaltLife66 on Instagram, Scott’s passion for the sunrise and the sea naturally led him to photography and videography.

 

Over time, Scott became a citizen scientist, documenting sightings of rare and critically endangered species, such as the smalltooth sawfish, and promptly reporting these encounters to researchers. His work also features Great Hammerhead sharks, sea turtles, manatees, spotted eagle rays, and other marine life.
